How to Watch 2024 Players Championship, Second Round: Stream Golf Live, TV Channel

The second round of the 2024 Players Championship tees off with Rory McIlroy in the lead today.

After one round of golf at the 2024 Players Championship there is a three-way tie for the lead at seven under par. Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark all shot first a 65 in the first round to earn a share of the lead heading into the second round today. Three others are tied at six under par, just one stroke behind the lead in Matt Fitzpatrick, Scottie Scheffler and Nick Taylor. That sets the stage for a very competitive second round with a jam-packed leaderboard at the top. Scheffler won this event last year and McIlroy in 2019 giving them the opportunity to join just six others ever to win golf's unofficial fifth “major” multiple times.

In the first round, McIlroy finished with 10 birdies, a bogey and a double-bogey. He got off to a hot start with birdies on six of the first eight holes and if not for two blunders near the end of each nine, he could have a commanding lead.

Schauffele had a much cleaner scorecard in the first round finishing with seven birdies and no bogeys for the day. He had three birdies in his first nine, then four more on the final nine building a strong, consistent round of golf. Clark had a similar first round with eight birdies and one bogey for the day.

Now that all of the golfers got a round under their belts the second round from TPC Sawgrass will be an exciting one to watch. McIlroy, Shauffele and Clark will see if they can hold off the rest of the field and build on their leads from the first round heading into the weekend today.
