Brock Purdy and the 49ers will take the field against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday evening.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will make their way to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday night. The 49ers will be the favored team heading into the big game coming out of the NFC. Entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the conference, they got a bye in the Wild Card round, which led to a divisional round matchup with the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love. They ended up winning that game 24-21 on a late Christian McCaffrey touchdown. CMC finished that game with 98 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, seven receptions, and 30 receiving yards. They met the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship and were down 17 points in the first half. CMC once again dominated with 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The Chiefs are the representative out of the AFC as the No. 3 seed coming into the playoffs. They secured a Wild Card win against the Miami Dolphins, dominating them 26-7 before moving on to beat Josh Allen and the Bills 27-24 in the divisional round on the road. 

Patrick Mahomes took on Lamar Jackson in the AFC Championship game, which was Kansas City’s sixth straight championship game. The team won 17-10 with Mahomes throwing for over 200 yards and a touchdown in all three games.
