How to Watch Georgia vs. Luxembourg: Stream Euro 2024 Qualifying Live, TV Channel

A place at Euro 2024 is at stake as Georgia hosts Luxembourg in the qualifying playoffs on Thursday.

The Euro 2024 playoffs kick off on Thursday as Georgia and Luxembourg collide in a semifinal fixture hoping to claim one of the few spots remaining at this summer’s showcase in Germany. Three places are still up for grabs in the continental competition, with both Georgia and Luxembourg within touching distance of qualifying for a European Championships for the first time in their histories. The two teams have picked a high-stakes setting to be meeting under competitive conditions for the first time, and the winner of Thursday’s clash will advance to the Path C decider against either Greece or Kazakhstan.

Neither Georgia nor Luxembourg did enough to earn a top-two finish during the first stage of Euro 2024 qualifying, but their performances in the UEFA Nations League were sufficient to lock down a place in the playoffs.

Willy Sagnol’s Georgia side could only finish fourth in Group A, and so they’ll be particularly grateful by the lifeline offered to them by the Nations League route.

Luxembourg, meanwhile, was slightly less fortunate after placing third in Group J, albeit still some five points off runner-up Slovakia in second.

Both teams will be relying on their stars to step up on the big stage this week, with the next 180 minutes (or less) of soccer set to make or break this summer for a handful of countries.

For the Crusaders, that talisman is Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratshkelia, who has witnessed a dip in form this season but is still capable of pulling rabbits out of hats when required:

On the other side of the field, Luc Holtz will be leaning on Slovan Bratislava forward Gerson Rodrigues to produce something special in Tbilisi.

However, the forward’s involvement is still in question after prosecutors recently requested Rodrigues be handed a 15-month prison sentence following accusations of domestic violence against his ex-partner.

That could pose a problem with attack partner Daniel Sinani already suspended for the fixture after he was sent off in the 1-0 win over Liechtenstein last November.

Regional restrictions may apply.
