Texas offensive lineman Darius James will reportedly transfer.

Texas offensive lineman Darius James will transfer, the Austin Statesman reports. According to 247 Sports, James has been granted his full release.

James was a five-star recruit and the top offensive guard recruit in the country in 2013, according to 247's composite rankings. He redshirted his freshman year and played six games as a redshirt freshman in 2014.

247 reports that James "has put out feelers to multiple Power Five schools who've shown interest."

Texas finished 6-7 in 2014 in the first season under coach Charlie Strong, losing to Arkansas 31-7 in the Texas Bowl.

The Longhorns' 2015 season begins Sept. 5 at Notre Dame.
