The Florida-Idaho game scheduled for Saturday night at The Swamp was called off due to rain, lightning and a thunderstorm that caused "unplayable field conditions" according to tweets from the Gators account.

The decision on whether it will be rescheduled will be announced at a later time. Both teams have off weekends on Oct. 25.

The game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. local time, had gotten underway after a three hour delay at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., but a second lightning storm delayed the game again shortly after kickoff. Together with the SEC and athletic directors from both schools, game officials decided at that point to terminate the game. If the game is rescheduled, it will be restarted to opening kickoff.
