Four Cincinnati players face legal consequences after party
Four University of Cincinnati football players face legal consequences and team discipline following a party where gunshots were fired last weekend, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Cincinnati police responded to a party at 2:36 a.m. Sunday after reports of gunfire. None of the players were connected to the gunshots.
Freshman cornerback Alex Thomas was arrested for running away when police arrived on the scene. Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville announced Thursday that Thomas is suspended for at least the next four games.

Starting running back Hosey Williams was cited for disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Williams will not be suspended for the incident.
Defensive back Leviticus Payne and linebacker Ey'Shawn McClain were found to have outstanding warrants following February citations for marijuana possession and failing to either appear in court or pay $130 fines. They are now scheduled to appear in court Sept. 26. Payne and McClain have been disciplined internally but will not be suspended.
Tuberville released a statement on Wednesday night:
"We have high expectations for the conduct and behavior of every member of our football program at all times. Being a student-athlete at the University of Cincinnati is a privilege, not a right, and there are consequences for their actions. I'm disappointed and we are still gathering information surrounding the depth of involvement in the incident."
Cincinnati is 1-0 on the season and hosts Miami (OH) on Saturday.
