Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Penn State Nittany Lions
Ohio State and Penn State meet under the lights on Saturday in Week 9. The Buckeyes have won four straight after a loss to Virginia Tech, including a 56-17 win over Rutgers last week. The Nittany Lions are coming off a bye last week but have lost their last two games, falling most recently to Michigan 18-13.

Oct. 18: Ohio State 56, Rutgers 17
The Buckeyes set a school record with their fourth consecutive game scoring 50 or more points. Tight end Nick Vannett caught two touchdown passes, a new career high. Quarterback J.T. Barrett ran for a career-high 107 yards on seven carries.
Oct. 4: Ohio State 52, Maryland 24
J.T. Barrett threw for 267 yards and four touchdowns on 23 pass attempts to spoil Maryland's Big Ten home debut. The Buckeyes gained 533 yards of total offense without committing a turnover. Ohio State's defense created four takeaways and held the Terrapins to just 66 yards rushing.
Sept. 27: Ohio State 50, Cincinnati 28
The Buckeyes amassed 710 yards of total offense in a convincing victory. J.T. Barrett completed 26 of 36 pass attempts for 330 yards and four passing touchdowns and also rushed for 79 yards on 14 carries. Ohio State did not force a turnover defensively, but the Bucks limited Cincinnati to just 70 yards rushing.
Sept. 13: Ohio State 66, Kent State 0
J.T. Barrett tied an Ohio State record with six passing touchdowns while compiling 312 passing yards on 30 pass attempts. Running back Curtis Samuel gained 100 yards on 15 carries, including two touchdowns, and the Buckeyes outgained the Golden Flashes 628-126.
Sept. 6: Virginia Tech 35, Ohio State 21
The Buckeyes trailed by a 21-7 margin at halftime and were unable to complete a comeback in the second half. Ohio State committed three turnovers in the game and was just 4-for-16 on third down. J.T. Barrett completed just nine of his 29 pass attempts.
Aug. 30: Ohio State 34, Navy 17
Ohio State defeated Navy for its 25th consecutive regular season win. No Buckeyes player attempted more than 12 rushes in the game but Ohio State had 194 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while the defense also produced a touchdown on a 61-yard fumble return by Darron Lee.
Penn State
Oct. 11: Michigan 18, Penn State 13
The loss snapped the Nittany Lions' three-game winning streak away from home and its four-game winning streak against Michigan. Leading receiver DaeSean Hamilton caught his first career touchdown pass. Penn State scored on its first three possessions for the first time since 2012.
Sept. 27: Northwestern 29, Penn State 6
The Nittany Lions produced just 50 rushing yards and 266 yards of total offense in the defeat. Quarterback Christian Hackenburg completed just 22 of his 45 pass attempts for 216 yards, giving him a 4.8 yards per attempt average. Penn State allowed two touchdowns in the first quarter, which were the first points scored against its defense in the first quarter this season.
Sept. 20: Penn State 48, Massachusetts 7
Penn State moved to 4-0 with a win over UMass. Christian Hackenberg finished with 179 passing yards and no touchdowns. Akeel Lynch and Bill Belton were the team's top two rushers. Lynch finished with 81 yards and one touchdown, while Belton had 76 yards and two scores.
Sept. 13: Penn State 13, Rutgers 10
Penn State went back on the road to defeat Rutgers for its first 3-0 start since 2009. Christian Hackenberg had 309 passing yards and no touchdowns. Penn State had two receivers finish with over 100 yards: Geno Lewis had 109 yards on six catches, and DaeSean Hamilton finished with eight catches for 103 yards.
Sept. 6: Penn State 21, Akron 3
Christian Hackenberg threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Junior tight end Jesse James had two touchdown catches. The Penn State defense held the Zips to 277 total yards, including 69 yards on 25 rush attempts.
Aug. 30: Penn State 26, UCF 24
The Nittany Lions opened the season at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Sam Ficken kicked a 36-yard field goal as time expired to give Penn State the win. Hackenberg threw for a school-record 454 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. It was Penn State's first ever game outside the United States and the first international game played by a Big Ten team since Wisconsin played Michigan State in Tokyo in 1993.
