West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Texas Longhorns
The No. 24 West Virginia Mountaineers play the Texas Longhorns on Saturday in Austin. West Virginia had its four-game winning streak snapped last week against TCU on a game-winning field goal as time expired. Texas knocked off Texas Tech 34-13 last week behind Malcom Brown's 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

11/1: Texas 34, Texas Tech 13
Texas scored the final 24 points to overcome a 13-10 first-half deficit and move to 3-3 in Big 12 play. Malcolm Brown led the way with 22 carries for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and Jonathan Gray added 16 carries for 76 yards and a score. Tyrone Swoopes threw for 228 yards and a touchdown, while John Harris had five catches for 165 yards.
10/25: Kansas State 23, Texas 0
The Longhorns were shut out for the first time since 2004 by the Wildcats. Tyrone Swoopes completed 13 of 25 passes for 106 yards as Texas managed only 196 yards of total offense. Texas ran for 90 yards on 27 carries and lost the time of possession battle by nearly 20 minutes.
10/18: Texas 48, Iowa State 45
Nick Rose's 21-yard field goal with three seconds left snapped Texas' two-game losing streak. Tyrone Swoopes completed 24 of 36 passes for 321 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while also running for 95 yards and another score. John Harris led the team with nine catches for 147 yards, and Texas rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns as a team.
10/11: Oklahoma 31, Texas 26
Texas was down 31-13 early in the fourth quarter and roared back, but the Longhorns couldn't pull off the upset of the Sooners for the second year in a row. Tyrone Swoopes threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns in the close loss, while wide receiver Jaxon Shipley caught nine balls for 115 yards.
10/04: Baylor 28, Texas 7
Texas' rushing defense allowed Baylor running back Shock Linwood to rush for 148 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Tyrone Swoopes completed 16 of 34 passes for 144 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. The Longhorns' lone score came with 2:42 left in the game, a two-yard touchdown run from Johnathan Gray.
09/27: Texas 23, Kansas 0
Tyrone Swoopes threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns and added another score on the ground. John Harris led the Longhorns in receiving with six catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. The Texas defense forced four turnovers in the shutout effort.
09/13: UCLA 20, Texas 17
The door opened for Texas to pull off the upset when UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley went down with an arm injury in the first quarter, but the Bruins were able to hang on after getting the lead in the final five minutes of the game. Tyrone Swoopes threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, but the Longhorns defense allowed the Bruins to rush for 249 yards.
09/06: BYU 41, Texas 7
David Ash missed the game with a concussion and ultimately decided to end his career. Tyrone Swoopes started in his place and threw for 176 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Texas turned the ball over four times and allowed 429 yards in the blowout loss.
08/30: Texas 38, North Texas 7
Texas forced four turnovers and outgained North Texas 353-94 in Charlie Strong's Longhorn coaching debut. David Ash threw for 190 yards and a touchdown, with John Harris catching seven passes for 110 yards and a score. Ash added a touchdown on the ground.

11/1: TCU 31, West Virginia 30
West Virginia lost to TCU on a 37-yard field goal as time expired to fall to 4-2 in Big 12 play. Clint Trickett completed 15 of 26 passes for 162 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as the Mountaineers turned the ball over five times. Dreamius Smith led West Virginia with 70 rushing yards and a touchdown, but the Mountaineers managed only 195 yards on 54 carries.
10/25:West Virginia 34, Oklahoma State 10
The Mountaineers scored the game's last 20 points to win a road game against the Cowboys. Clint Trickett completed 21 of 30 passes for 238 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Wendell Smallwood broke out for 132 yards on 23 carries, and Mario Alford had seven catches for 136 yards and a touchdown.
10/18: West Virginia 41, Baylor 27
West Virginia knocked off then-No. 4 Baylor by scoring the last 14 points to break away in the fourth quarter. Clint Trickett's two fourth-quarter touchdown passes were the difference as the Mountaineers upset the Bears. Kevin White led the Mountaineers with eight catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
10/11: West Virginia 37, Texas Tech 34
The Mountaineers came back from a 21-10 deficit to beat the Red Raiders on the road. Josh Lambert's 55-yard field goal as time expired won the game for West Virginia. Clint Trickett threw for 301 yards, Wendell Smallwood ran for 123 yards and Kevin White caught 13 passes for 123 yards to lead the Mountaineers.
10/4: West Virginia 33, Kansas 14
The Mountaineers’ defense forced 14 punts, the most ever by a West Virginia opponent. Quarterback Clint Trickett threw for 302 yards, his sixth-straight game with at least 300 yards passing. Wide receiver Kevin White tied a school record with his fifth straight game with at least 100 receiving yards, matching the mark set by Stedman Bailey in 2011.
9/20:Oklahoma 45, West Virginia 33
Kevin White had 10 catches for 173 yards, giving him 42 receptions and 633 yards for the season. Last year he had 35 receptions for 507 yards. Mario Alford had 101 receiving yards, giving West Virginia back-to-back games with two 100-yard receivers for the first time since 2011. Josh Lambert’s 54-yard field goal tied for the longest in FBS this season.
9/13 West Virginia 40, Maryland 37
Josh Lambert’s 47-yard field goal at the gun won it for the Mountaineers. Clint Trickett’s 511 passing yards were a career high and the second-most in school history. Kevin White’s career-high 216 receiving yards place him third in West Virginia single-game history.
9/6: West Virginia 54, Towson 0
The Mountaineers posted their first shutout since blanking Coastal Carolina in 2010. Seven different players scored touchdowns for West Virginia, the most since seven players scored against Norfolk State in 2011. The 54-point margin of victory was the Mountaineers’ largest since an 80-7 win over Rutgers in 2011.
8/30Alabama 33, West Virginia 23
The neutral site game in Atlanta marked the just the sixth time in 32 years the Mountaineers have opened the season away from Morgantown. Mario Alford’s 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the program’s first kickoff return score since Tavon Austin against Kansas State in 2012. It was West Virginia’s first season-opening loss since 2003.
