South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Florida Gators
South Carolina (4-5, 2-5 SEC) comes off a bye week having lost two straight while the Gators (5-3, 4-3 SEC) have won two in a row after their season seemed lost.
Florida has beaten South Carolina 13 of the 14 times that the teams have faced off at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. South Carolina leads the conference in total offense, but are dead last in the SEC in total defense, giving up an average of 461 yards a game.

11/8: Florida 34, Vanderbilt 10
Florida won its second straight game and kept its hopes alive for the SEC East title, using a balanced attack to beat Vanderbilt for the 12th straight time in Nashville. The Gators had 215 yards passing and 214 yards rushing while holding the ball for more than 35 minutes. For Vanderbilt, the loss will snap a streak of going to a bowl game in three straight seasons. Vanderbilt helped out Florida by turning the ball over four times, leading to 13 points for the Gators.
11/1: Florida 38, Georgia 20
After falling behind 7-0, Florida scored 31 straight points to upset then-No. 11 Georgia. The Gators only attempted six passes and rushed 60 times for 418 yards and five touchdowns. Kelvin Taylor had 25 carries for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and Matt Jones had 25 carries for 192 yards and two touchdowns.
10/18: Missouri 42, Florida 13
The loss was Florida's first to Missouri at home. The Tiger defense scored touchdowns on two Florida turnovers, and Missouri added a kick return touchdown and punt return touchdown. The Gators lost despite outgaining Missouri 283-119.
10/11: LSU 30, Florida 27
Florida and LSU were tied after a Francisco Velez field goal with 1:49 left on the clock, but the Tigers were able to drive down the field to kick a game-winner from 50 yards with just three seconds remaining in the game. Jeff Driskel threw for 183 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while leading the Gators in rushing with 71 yards. Florida outgained LSU, but three turnovers were too much to overcome.
10/4: Florida 10, Tennessee 7
Florida and Tennessee combined for 265 yards in a defensive struggle that saw the Gators bench struggling quarterback Jeff Driskel. Driskel threw three interceptions and only tallied 59 yards on 23 pass attempts, while running back Matt Jones led the Florida offense with 114 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
9/20: Alabama 42, Florida 21
The Gators tied No. 3 Alabama early in the third quarter before the Crimson Tide put together a 21-point run to pull away for the win. The Florida defense forced four turnovers, but the offense turned it over three times and was just two of 13 on third down conversions. Jeff Driskel threw for 93 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He added 56 yards and a score on the ground.
9/13: Florida 36, Kentucky 30 (3OT)
Florida held off Kentucky in three overtimes after the Gators forced three turnovers and totaled more than 500 yards of offense. Jeff Driskel threw for 295 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while Demarcus Robinson caught 15 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Matt Jones rushed for 156 yards and a score.
9/6: Florida 65, Eastern Michigan 0
Florida's defense forced five turnovers and held Eastern Michigan to just 125 yards of total offense, while the Gators racked up 655 yards. Jeff Driskel threw for 248 yards, and the Florida backfield compiled 259 yards and four touchdowns. Freshman quarterback Treon Harris completed both of his pass attempts for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

11/1:Tennessee 45, South Carolina 42 (OT)
South Carolina blew a 14-point lead with less than five minutes to go as Tennessee earned its first conference victory of the season. It was South Carolina’s third time blowing a double digit lead in the fourth quarter this season. Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs had a huge game, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdowns and running for 166 more yards and three scores.
10/25:Auburn 42, South Carolina 35
South Carolina quarterback Dylan Thompson threw for 402 yards and five touchdowns, but he was also picked off three times as the Gamecocks’ rally ended with Thompson’s interception in the end zone to end the game. Auburn’s Nick Marshall threw for 139 yards, but the Tigers were paced by running back Cameron Artis-Payne, who rushed for 167 yards as part of Auburn rolled up 395 yards on the ground.
10/18: South Carolina 41, Furman 10
The Gamecock ground game earned 267 yards and three touchdowns to complete South Carolina's homecoming win over Furman. South Carolina took a 28-7 lead a halftime and held Furman to just a field goal in the second half. The Gamecocks' 548 total yards are the most the team has posted in a single game so far this season. The 281 passing yards and 267 rushing yards are the second most in each category thus far this year.
10/04: Kentucky 45, South Carolina 38
The Wildcats scored the winning touchdown when Alvin Dupree returned an interception 6 yards for a touchdown with 2:29 to play. Mike Davis rushed for a career-high 183 yards on 23 carries and tied a career best with three touchdowns.
09/27: Missouri 21, South Carolina 20
Missouri pulled ahead for good when Russell Hansbrough scored his third touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run with 1:36 remaining. South Carolina forced 10 punts from Missouri after its opponents had punted just eight times in the first four games. Mike Davis had his ninth career 100-yard rushing game, finishing with 104 yards.
09/20: South Carolina 48, Vanderbilt 34
The Gamecocks took the lead for good on Brison Williams’ 53-yard interception return for a touchdown with 23 seconds left in the first half. Sophomore Pharoh Cooper set career highs with 10 receptions and 114 receiving yards. Coach Steve Spurrier won his 202nd game as an SEC coach, passing Vince Dooley of Georgia for second all-time in the SEC. Only Bear Bryant (292) has more.
09/13: South Carolina 38, Georgia 35
The Gamecocks held on to the lead against the Bulldogs after Pharoh Cooper’s 8-yard touchdown reception from Dylan Thompson with 2:20 to go in the first quarter. South Carolina has won four of its last five against Georgia. Thompson was 21-of-30 for 271 yards and three touchdowns.
09/06: South Carolina 33, East Carolina 23
The Gamecocks took their sixteenth straight win over non-conference opponents against East Carolina. South Carolina’s final drive was 18 plays and 86 yards, consuming 10:33. It was the longest drive for the Gamecocks since a 20-play, 11:35 march against Tennessee in 2011. Gerald Dixon blocked a field goal in the second quarter, South Carolina’s first field-goal block since Stephon Gilmore did it against Tennessee in 2011.
08/28: Texas A&M 52, South Carolina 28
The loss snapped the Gamecocks’ 18-game home winning streak, the longest such streak in the FBS. Their last loss came against Auburn in 2011. It was the first meeting between the Aggies and South Carolina. Dylan Thompson had 366 passing yards and four touchdowns, including two on passes of 69 and 46 yards. Wide receiver Nick Jones had 113 yards, a career best, and two touchdowns.
