Virginia Tech vs. Duke
The Duke Blue Devils (8-1) host the Virginia Tech Hokies (4-5) Saturday afternoon in a matchup of the ACC Coastal's best and worst teams. Duke has won four straight and most recently took down Syracuse. Virginia Tech has lost three straight, including a two-point home loss to Boston College two weeks ago. The Hokies enter the game following a bye week.

Nov. 8: Duke 27, Syracuse 10
Duke's Jamison Crowder returned a punt 52 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to put the Blue Devils ahead for good. Crowder also caught nine passes for 58 yards in the game, while Anthony Boone threw two touchdowns, both to Issac Blakeney. Duke finished with 98 rushing yards, only the second time this season it failed to rush for more than 100.
Nov. 1: Duke 51, Pittsburgh 48 (2 OT)
Backup quarterback Thomas Sirk rushed twice, both for touchdowns, the last of which was a 5-yard game-winner in double-overtime. Boone went 23-of-31 with three touchdown passes, while six Blue Devil rushers combined for 172 yards on the ground. Crowder led all players with nine receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
Oct. 18: Duke 20, Virginia 13
Duke gained separation in the ACC Coastal despite being out-gained 465-334. Boone and Sirk each threw a touchdown pass, while Crowder finished with eight receptions for 99 yards. The Blue Devils rushed for 155 yards, averaging 5.2 per carry.
Virginia Tech
Nov. 1: Boston College 33, Virginia Tech
Michael Brewer went 31-of-48 for 345 yards and two touchdowns, but Virginia Tech managed only 69 rushing yards on 29 attempts. Boston College, by comparison, gained 258 rushing yards on 47 carries. The loss was VT's third straight, including its second at home.
Oct. 23: Miami 30, Virginia Tech 6
Miami outgained Virginia Tech by nearly 200 yards as the Hokies were unable to contain Duke Johnson, who rushed for 249 yards and one touchdown. Brewer went 13-of-20, but only for 80 yards. The Hokies turned the ball over three times and went 3-of-12 on third down.
Oct. 16: Pitt 21, Virginia Tech 16
VT saw its two-game winning streak snapped when Pitt limited the Hokies to 26 rushing yards on 22 attempts. Virginia Tech went 3-of-12 on third down and committed eight penalties.
