Iowa State Cyclones vs. TCU Horned Frogs
TCU has a chance to when the Big 12 and earn a berth in the College Football Playoff. TCU has won six in a row since a loss to Baylor on Oct. 11. Iowa State, on the other hand, has lost five straight and given up at least 34 points in each of those losses. Iowa State beat TCU two seasons ago, the last time they played in Fort Worth.

11/27: TCU 48, Texas 10
Texas quarterback Tyrone Swoopes was intercepted four times, and the Longhorns turned the ball over a total of six times, leading to 24 points for TCU. TCU’s Trevone Boykin passed for two touchdowns and added a score on the ground. Josh Doctson caught seven passes for 115 yards for the Horned Frogs, who kept their Big 12 title hopes alive.
11/15: TCU 34, Kansas 30
TCU came back from a 27-17 third quarter deficit to defeat Kansas on the road. Trevone Boykin completed 26 of 36 passes for 330 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and Ty Slanina had six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Green led the way on the ground with 19 carries for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
11/8: TCU 41, Kansas State 20
Quarterback Trevone Boykin threw for 219 yards and one touchdown and ran for 123 yards and three touchdowns, including one where he flipped over a defender into the end zone. Running back Aaron Green added 171 yards and one touchdown. The Horned Frogs' defense held Kansas State to just 34 rushing yards.
11/1: TCU 31, West Virginia 30
A TCU field goal as time expired gave the Horned Frogs a win over West Virginia, the third-straight close finish between the two teams after their previous two meetings went to overtime. With less than two minutes remaining, Trevone Boykin’s 40-yard pass to Kolby Listenbee helped set up the game-winning 37-yard field goal by Jaden Oberkrom.
10/25: TCU 82, Texas Tech 27
TCU routed Texas Tech by scoring a school-record 82 points, the second-most in a game by a Big 12 team. The Horned Frogs were led by quarterback Trevone Boykin, who threw seven touchdown passes, the most in TCU history. Running backs Aaron Green and Trevorris Johnson each rushed for 105 yards, and the Horned Frogs finished with 785 total yards.
10/18: TCU 42, Oklahoma State 9
TCU regrouped from its lone loss this season to rout Big 12 rival Oklahoma State. The Horned Frogs scored three touchdowns in the first quarter to jump to a 21-3 lead. Trevone Boykin threw for a career-high 410 yards in the win while wide receiver Josh Doctson had 225 yards on seven receptions.
10/11: Baylor 61, TCU 58
TCU was poised to upset No. 5 Baylor but blew a 21-point lead in the final 11 minutes. The Horned Frogs were up 58-37 in the fourth quarter before Baylor running back Devin Chafin’s 7-yard touchdown run cut the lead to 58-44. From there, TCU’s defense allowed Baylor to complete 92-yard and 91-yard drives to tie the game 58-58. Baylor’s Chris Callahan kicked a 28-yard field goal as time expired to complete the comeback.
10/4: TCU 37, Oklahoma 33
In its Big 12 opener, TCU upset Oklahoma to win 37-33. The first three quarters each ended with tied scores, but Paul Dawson’s 41-yard interception return for a touchdown put the Horned Frogs ahead at 37-31, and their defense prevented the Sooners from scoring another touchdown. Trevone Boykin threw for 318 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and ran for 77 yards.
9/27: TCU 56, SMU 0
TCU shut out rival SMU with a win in the “Battle for the Iron Skillet.” The Horned Frogs outgained the Mustangs 614-245 in total offense, limiting SMU to only 89 rushing yards. Quarterback Trevone Boykin finished with 280 yards and four touchdowns while running back B.J. Catalon had 114 yards and one touchdown.
9/13: TCU 30, Minnesota 7
TCU’s defense forced five turnovers and limited Minnesota to 99 rushing yards in its 30-7 win. The Horned Frogs were up 30-7 before the Golden Gophers were finally able to score in the fourth quarter. TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson had two touchdowns in the first half, B.J. Catalon ran for one and Jaden Oberkrom contributed three field goals.
8/30: TCU 48, Samford 14
TCU’s season started with a 48-14 win over FCS team Samford. Quarterback Trevone Boykin threw two touchdowns and ran for one, finishing with 363 total yards. The Horned Frogs’ defense held the Bulldogs to just 56 yards passing and 87 yards rushing.

11/29: West Virginia 37, Iowa State 24
West Virginia backup Skyler Howard threw three touchdown passes, and Rushel Shell ran for 146 yards to help West Virginia break a three-game losing skid. The loss was Iowa State’s fifth straight. Sam B. Richardson completed only 26 of his 50 pass attempt for 275 yards. He threw two touchdowns and was picked off twice, including one that could have evened the score in the fourth quarter.
11/22: Texas Tech 34, Iowa State 31
Kenny Williams caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes with less than five minutes remaining to lead Texas Tech to a comeback victory. DeAndre Washington ran for 186 yards to offset the Red Raiders committing nine penalties and losing the time of possession battle by more than eight minutes. Sam B. Richardson passed for 304 and two touchdowns for the Cyclones, who will not play in a bowl game for the second straight season.
11/8: Kansas 34, Iowa State 14
Kansas won only its second Big 12 game in the past four seasons, spurred by Michael Cummings' 278 passing yards and Corey Avery' 103 rushing yards. Kansas, who jumped out to a 24-0 lead, snapped a four-game losing streak to the Cyclones.
11/1: Oklahoma 59, Iowa State 14
Oklahoma racked up 751 yards, including 510 on the ground, in thrashing Iowa State for the 43rd time in their past 45 meetings. Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight threw for 230 yards and ran for 146 yards, becoming the first FBS player in 2014 to throw three TD passes and rush for three touchdowns in a game. Alex Ross added 144 rushing yards for Oklahoma, who lost a heartbreaker to Kansas State on Oct. 18. Iowa State went 6 of 19 on third-down attempts and could not capitalize on three Sooners turnovers.
10/18: Texas 48, Iowa State 45
Iowa State fell to 0-4 in Big 12 play with a loss against Texas. Quarterback Sam Richardson completed 36 of 55 passes for 345 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, but the Cyclones couldn't keep up with the Longhorns. Texas quarterback Tyrone Swoopes had 321 passing yards and added 95 more on the ground to lead the Longhorns to the win at home.
10/11: Iowa State 37, Toledo 30
Iowa State's win over Toledo was the Cyclones' second win of the season. Sam Richardson threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns. DeVondrick Nealy led the way out of the backfield with 71 yards on 16 carries, while Allen Lazard caught eight passes for 96 yards.
10/4: Oklahoma State 37, Iowa State 20
Iowa State took a 6-0 lead after two field goals, but by the end of the first quarter, the Cowboys were up 13-6. Sam Richardson threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns in the loss, and wide receiver E.J. Bibbs hauled in two touchdown catches. The Iowa State defense forced two Oklahoma State turnovers.
9/27: Baylor 49, Iowa State 28
The Cyclones’ 92-yard scoring drive in the first quarter matched its longest of the season. All four of Iowa State’s scoring drives were 75 yards or longer. Quarterback Sam B. Richardson’s 47-yard touchdown run is the longest rush of the season for ISU.
9/13: Iowa State 20, Iowa 17
The Cyclones have won back-to-back games at Iowa for the first time since winning five in a row from 1998-2002. Cole Netten hit the game-winning field goal from 42 yards out with two seconds remaining. This is just the second time since the series was renewed in 1977 that the team trailing after three quarters won.
9/6: Kansas State 32, Iowa State 28
Jake Waters scored for the Wildcats with 1:30 remaining as Kansas State came back from 15 points down to win. It was Iowa State’s earliest conference opener since 2002, when it played Kansas in Week 2. Jarvis West had an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown, ISU’s longest punt return score since a 91-yarder by James McMillion in 1992.
8/30:North Dakota State 34, Iowa State 14
After taking a 14-0 lead, the Cyclones surrendered 34 unanswered points. Aaron Wimberly rushed for both Iowa State touchdowns, the second two-touchdown game of his career. The Bison have beaten an FBS opponent for five consecutive seasons.
