Boston College Eagles vs. Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State and Boston College will square off in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Dec. 27. The Nittany Lions come into the game with the NCAA's best rushing defense and will appear in a bowl game for the first time since NCAA sanctions were handed down after the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Boston College is making a bowl appearance after a seven year absence. Penn State leads the all-time series 19-4, but Boston College has won the last three meetings.

11/29:Michigan State 34, Penn State 10
Jeremy Langford ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns and R.J. Shelton took the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown as the Spartans won their third straight game. Michael Geiger kicked two field goals and Michigan State held the Nittany Lions to 38 yards rushing.
11/22:Illinois 16, Penn State 14
The Illini stopped Penn State's two-game winning streak when David Reisner hit a 36-yard field goal with eight seconds left in the game to cap off a seven-play, 54-yard drive. Mike Dudek had 11 catches for 115 yards for Illinois while the Nittany Lions were paced by Akeel Lynch, who had 28 rushes for 137 yards.
11/15: Penn State 30, Temple 13
Penn State picked off Temple quarterback P.J. Walker four times, including Grant Haley's 30-yard interception for a touchdown. Akeel Lynch ran for 130 yards as the Nittany Lions became bowl eligible for the first time in three seasons. The Owls could only gain 68 yards rushing and went 3-of-16 on third down.
11/8: Penn State 13, Indiana 7
Penn State snapped its four-game losing streak by knocking off Indiana on the road. Christian Hackenberg struggled and completed just 12 of 29 passes for 168 yards and two interceptions, but Bill Belton carried the offense with 137 rushing yards and a touchdown. Penn State's defense limited Indiana to just 68 passing yards and 221 total yards.
11/1:Maryland 20, Penn State 19
The Nittany Lions dropped their fourth straight game on a last-minute field goal by Maryland's Brad Craddock. Christian Hackenberg completed just 18 of 42 passes for 177 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Penn State lost despite outgaining Maryland 219-192.
10/25:Ohio State 31, Penn State 24 (2 OT)
Penn State came back from a 17-point deficit before losing to Ohio State in double overtime. The Nittany Lions forced overtime with Sam Ficken's 31-yard field goal with nine seconds remaining in regulation. DaeSean Hamilton led Penn State with 14 catches for 126 yards.
10/11:Michigan 18, Penn State 13
The loss snapped the Nittany Lions' three-game winning streak away from home and its four-game winning streak against Michigan. Leading receiver DaeSean Hamilton caught his first career touchdown pass. Penn State scored on its first three possessions for the first time since 2012.
9/27:Northwestern 29, Penn State 6
The Nittany Lions produced just 50 rushing yards and 266 yards of total offense in the defeat. Quarterback Christian Hackenburg completed just 22 of his 45 pass attempts for 216 yards, giving him a 4.8 yards per attempt average. Penn State allowed two touchdowns in the first quarter, which were the first points scored against its defense in the first quarter this season.
9/20: Penn State 48, Massachusetts 7
Penn State moved to 4-0 with a win over UMass. Christian Hackenberg finished with 179 passing yards and no touchdowns. Akeel Lynch and Bill Belton were the team's top two rushers. Lynch finished with 81 yards and one touchdown, while Belton had 76 yards and two scores.
9/13: Penn State 13, Rutgers 10
Penn State went back on the road to defeat Rutgers for its first 3-0 start since 2009. Christian Hackenberg had 309 passing yards and no touchdowns. Penn State had two receivers finish with over 100 yards: Geno Lewis had 109 yards on six catches, and DaeSean Hamilton finished with eight catches for 103 yards.
9/6: Penn State 21, Akron 3
Christian Hackenberg threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Junior tight end Jesse James had two touchdown catches. The Penn State defense held the Zips to 277 total yards, including 69 yards on 25 rush attempts.
8/30: Penn State 26, UCF 24
The Nittany Lions opened the season at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Sam Ficken kicked a 36-yard field goal as time expired to give Penn State the win. Hackenberg threw for a school-record 454 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. It was Penn State's first ever game outside the United States and the first international game played by a Big Ten team since Wisconsin played Michigan State in Tokyo in 1993.

11/29: Boston College 28, Syracuse 7
Tyler Murphy threw for 160 yards and had 20 yards rushing to set the single-season ACC record for rushing yards by a quarterback. Syracuse managed just eight first downs and 128 total yards in losing their fifth straight game. Boston College held the ball for 38 minutes and became bowl eligible for the second consecutive season.
11/22:Florida State 20, Boston College 17
Jameis Winston led the Seminoles on a game-winning 66-yard drive capped by a Roberto Aguayo 26-yard field goal with three seconds left. The Eagles missed a chance to take the lead with less than five minutes to go, missing a 43-yard field goal and allowing Florida State to drive for the winning score. Winston passed for 281 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and Rashad Greene hauled in eight passes for 106 yards.
11/8:Louisville 38, Boston College 19
Boston College led 13-3 early in the second quarter, but Louisville came back with five touchdowns to win the game. Quarterback Tyler Murphy was 7-for-15 and threw four interceptions, three of which set up Louisville scores.
11/1: Boston College 33, Virginia Tech 31
With BC leading by only two points in the fourth, quarterback Tyler Murphy made a 57-yard touchdown run to increase the Eagles' lead to 33-24, allowing BC to hold on for a win. Murphy finished the game with 127 rushing yards and 110 passing yards for two touchdowns.
10/25: Boston College 23, Wake Forest 17
Boston College got off to a 17-0 lead by halftime and held on to defeat Wake Forest 23-17. Jon Hilliman rushed for 101 yards on 20 carries and quarterback Tyler Murphy ran for 77 more while BC's defense limited Wake Forest to only 19 rushing yards.
10/18:Clemson 17, Boston College 13
Boston College was held to a season-low 120 rushing yards in the loss to Clemson. The Eagles took the lead in the fourth quarter with a 6-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Murphy to Josh Bordner, but Clemson came back on the following drive to score a touchdown for the 17-13 lead.
10/11: Boston College 30, NC State 14
After a 14-14 tie at the end of the first quarter, BC scored 16 unanswered points to defeat NC State. Tyler Murphy rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns and also threw for 101 yards. The Eagles' finished with 310 total rushing yards compared with NC State's 43.
9/27:Colorado State 24, Boston College 21
Despite leading for the majority of the game, Boston College lost after a late Colorado State touchdown. BC's defense failed to stop the Rams as they scored on a fourth down with a minute remaining. Quarterback Tyler Murphy threw for 169 yards and one interception and ran for 79 yards.
9/20: Boston College 40, Maine 10
Tyler Murphy entered the game leading all quarterbacks in rushing yards and finished the game with two rushing touchdowns. He also threw for 130 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the win over Maine. Running back Jon Hilliman had two touchdowns and Marcus Outlow rushed for 107 yards.
9/13: Boston College 37, USC 31
After trailing for much of the first half, Boston College defeated No. 9 USC in their first win over a top-10 team in a decade. BC outgained USC 506-337. Tyler Murphy ran for 191 yards and one touchdown while three other players contributed touchdowns as well.
9/5:Pittsburgh 30, Boston College 20
After trailing the entire game, Boston College was unable to pull off an upset in the final minutes. Tyler Murphy's 2-yard touchdown run with 43 seconds remaining made it 30-20, but the lead was too great to overcome. Boston College was outgained 414-276 and had only 142 rushing yards.
8/30: Boston College 30, Massachusetts 7
Boston College routed Massachusetts in their season-opening win in Foxboro. Quarterback Tyler Murphy ran for 118 yards and a touchdown as Boston College rushed for a total of 338 yards. Murphy also threw for 173 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
