Texas A&M center Mike Matthews played on broken foot last season
Texas A&M senior center Mike Matthewstold the Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman that he played on a broken foot for a while during the 2014 season.
Matthews started 10 games for the Aggies last season and did not sit out due to the broken foot until Texas A&M's bowl game against West Virginia. He started all 13 games as a sophomore.
ESPN.com's Sam Khan Jr. notes that in high school, Matthews said he played with a broken bone in his snapping hand sustained during a game.
Last week, Matthews was named to the 2015 Rimington Trophy preseason watch list, an award given to the top center in college football.

Matthews is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Matthews and the younger brother of former Aggies standouts Kevin Matthews and Jake Matthews.
Texas A&M finished 8–5 last season in Kevin Sumlin's third year as coach.
