Four-star QB Dillon Sterling-Cole commits to Arizona State

The four-star recruit chose Arizona State over Texas A&M, where his father once played.

Class of 2016 four-star quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole has decided to play for Arizona State, he announced on ESPN.

The 6'2, 185-pound pocket passer from Houston (Westfield), Texas, is the 11th player in Arizona State’s 2016 recruiting class and coach Todd Graham’s third recruited four-star quarterback after freshmen Manny Wilkins and Brady White.

Sterling-Cole is Rivals.com’s No. 7 quarterback in the class of 2016, the No. 209 player nationally and the No. 24 player coming out of Texas.

Sterling-Cole was also considering offers from Florida, Houston, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. His father, Chris, was a receiver for the Aggies from 1996 to 1999 before playing for the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.

Sterling-Cole recently participated in Nike's prestigious Elite 11 quarterback competition in Oregon and was the last uncommitted recruit from the camp. His commitment comes just one day after Robbie Robinson committed to the Sun Devils.
