Watch: Duke’s Grayson Allen trips FSU’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes

Duke’s Grayson Allen has rapidly ascended in the pantheon of “people who people hate who happen to play for Duke” as he’s grown into his starring role for the Blue Devils.

This rich legacy of shenanigans, tomfoolery and generally giving people reasons to hate you got a major boost on Thursday night, as Allen was caught appearing to intentionally trip Florida State’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes during Duke’s win over the Seminoles.

Watch below as Allen plays the heel, literally, and takes down his opponent. He is subsequently whistled for a foul. That is justified.

This all happened two weeks after Allen appeared to trip Louisville’s Ray Spalding in a game.

It’s not quite up there with Iowa’s Adam Woodbury and his long history of poking people in the eyes, but Allen tripping people is certainly a thing now. Stay watchful out there.
