There's much to discuss about the top quarterback recruit

The Elite 11 Atlanta camp always has plenty of talent and today would be no different.

The biggest name at the event would be Rivals' #1 overall recruit Julian "Ju Ju" Lewis. Coming from Carrollton (Ga.) High School, Southern California is doing all it can to fend off Auburn from gaining his signature on a national letter of intent. Seeing Lewis today gives credence as to why.

Lewis possesses one of the most aesthetically pleasing throwing motions one will witness. An over-the-top motion that's smooth, and with zip, Lewis is a natural passer. Whether rolling right, side-stepping a an instructor acting like a pass rusher, or during a traditional drop-back pass, the talented quarterback shows advanced footwork to to stay balanced and also lead his intended target. There's something else that's now known about Lewis.

Lewis did farily well during the early portion of today's Elite 11 event, but not like he usually does. He even threw one pass in the dirt that made him obviously agitated at himself. Some top players go in the tank when it's an off day. Lewis did not allow that to happen.

Lewis quickly came back to what is expected of him. Passes where only his intended target could catch it became far more common. Leading his receiver so he can keep running after the catch, as well as throwing excellent touch passes, came to fruition. Here are some of the better throws from Lewis: LINK.

Once he began to find his groove, Lewis continually threw with confidence and precision. He's definitely one of the nation's best prep football players. His hard work is paying off, too.

Lewis is now invited to participate in the Elite 11 finals out in the greater Los Angeles area. It's deserving for the Carrollton High signal-caller when one combines his body of work, including today.

Congratulations to Lewis and good luck in Los Angeles!
