Where Alabama Ranks in Polls After Taking Down Mississippi State

Alabama entered Week 5's road game against Mississippi State as the No. 7 team in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll.

Despite the deafening cowbells at Davis Wade Stadium, the Crimson Tide dominated the then-No. 16 Bulldogs 56-23 on Saturday. UA has scored at least 45 points in every game so far, and its point total in Starkville was its highest of the season.

Following the victory, Alabama moved up to the No. 6 spot in the AP Top 25 and stayed at No. 7 in the Coaches Poll on Sunday. The Crimson Tide jumped Indiana in the AP Top 25.

This marks the 301st consecutive week that Alabama is ranked inside the AP Top 25, a streak dating back to the 2008 preseason poll prior to Nick Saban's second season with the Crimson Tide. The current streak trails only Nebraska's of 348 consecutive polls from 1981 to 2002.
