The Alabama football program has been off the last two weeks as the regular season came to a conclusion with an SEC Championship game victory over the Georgia Bulldogs to open the month. 

The Crimson Tide coaching staff has spent the two weeks wisely, by heading all over the country recruiting while the athletes have been busy collecting awards and wrapping up the semester academically. 

The 2024 recruiting cycle is in its last stages as National Early Signing Date is next Wednesday. However, for Alabama, Wednesday is mostly a formality as a number of its incoming freshman are arriving to Tuscaloosa today.

When the Crimson Tide opens Rose Bowl practice Saturday there will be at least 10 members of the upcoming class getting their first taste of college football.

Class of 2024 Early Enrollees

The Crimson Tide will have 11 members of the upcoming class moving to campus this weekend to help Alabama prepare for Michigan. 

Five additional members of the class are reportedly enrolling early as well. 

According to Andrew Bone of On3 Sports the Crimson Tide should see both Central Phenix City prospects, Red Morgan and Isaia Faga on Wednesday, while Jameer Grimsley, Justin Okoronkwo and Jaylen Mbakwe are still ironing out the details of their transition.

None of these players are eligible to participate in the actual College Football Playoff games, but it's a huge opportunity to gain crucial experience that will prepare the class for their futures at the Capstone. 

Where Was Nick Saban?

Alabama head football coach was all over the country these past two weeks as he's been putting a bow on the Class of 2024. He's spent time with the majority of the incoming class as well as a few other high-value targets.

Checking Out The Capstone

It's not all over with in the class of 2024. The Alabama coaching staff is still making last minute pushes for a handful of prospects with just five days until pen can be put to paper. 

A small group of recruits will be on campus this weekend for official visits as they try to make up their minds late.

Transfer Portal Targets

Alabama may be preparing for a playoff matchup against the Michigan Wolverines, but the program can't neglect roster management during this crucial time on the calendar. 

The college football transfer portal window opened at the beginning of the month and Alabama appears to be welcoming a few portal prospects to the Capstone this weekend. 

  • Fadil Diggs - Defensive lineman / EDGE - Texas A&M
    • 25 games played, 75 tackles, 18.5 for loss, 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles

  • LT Overton - Defensive lineman / EDGE - Texas A&M

Revolving Around Ryan Williams

Saraland's superstar wide receiver Ryan Williams made the entire recruiting world pause on Monday as he announced his plans to reclassify into the 2024 class. 

Williams, the 2022 Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year as just a sophomore, is a generational prospect. He immediately becomes the Tide's highest rated recruit in the current cycle as his athleticism is off the charts. 

Though reports indicate he's solid in his commitment to Alabama, the eye-popping receiver has still been heavily flirting with the Auburn Tigers. Williams spent Wednesday evening on social media being courted by Auburn faithful. 

He reportedly will be in Auburn this weekend to take in the Tigers basketball game against Southern Cal on Sunday. Will Williams still be the best athlete in Neville Arena despite Bronny James's participation?
