CINCINNATI — The SI Sportsbook released opening odds for the Bearcats game against the SMU Mustangs on Thursday. Cincinnati opened as a seven-point underdog, and now the spread is up to +7.5. The total is set at 141 points as Cincinnati faces a talented offensive team in SMU.

Cincinnati has been terrible covering spreads this season. Wes Miller's crew is 9-17-3 ATS after losing by 18 to Houston on Tuesday. The oddsmakers have done a great job handicapping SMU this season. Tim Jankovich's team is 14-13 ATS in 2021-22.

UC isn't barking or biting like a dog this season—the team is 2-6-1 ATS as an underdog, while SMU is 11-9 ATS as a favorite. The 7.5 point spread is tied for the second-highest of the season with UC's 87-80 road loss to Memphis. Cincinnati has won 10 straight games against SMU—Their longest streak against an AAC opponent.
