Turner's Seth Davis Selling UC Men's Basketball Stock

CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball is dealing with inconsistency as they get set for their second AAC game, and one national analyst is selling the team going forward.
The Athletic and Turner's Seth Davis unveiled his annual Hoop Thoughts Stock Report, and UC has a "For Sale" sign.
"The Bearcats earned plenty of notice with a 20-point win over Illinois and a hard-fought loss to Arkansas, both in Kansas City," Davis wrote about Cincinnati. "Then they dropped off the radar with a two-point home loss to Monmouth and a 20-point drubbing at Xavier, and on Saturday they lost at home to Tulane. The program has a new coach in Wes Miller, but this team resembles some of Mick Cronin’s old ones at UC. The Bearcats are tough on defense (13th in the country in field goal percentage defense) and take care of the ball (17th in turnover percentage), but they struggle to score (146th in offensive efficiency and 316th in 3-point percentage). Cincinnati should remain competitive in the AAC, but there won’t be many NCAA Tournament teams in this league, and I doubt the Bearcats will win enough games to be one of them."
Wes Miller's team has a big game on Thursday at home against SMU. They'll go for the first conference win under Miller at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
