The Athletic Names Battle For The Victory Bell Among College Football's Top 100 Rivalries

One more battle scheduled for the 2026 season.

CINCINNATI —  The Athletic dove into ranking the top-100 college football rivalries of all time and Cincinnati-Miami (OH) checked in at No. 83 on the list.

Scott Dochterman noted how much Cincinnati has grown in the sport compared to the RedHawks.

"This rivalry is a relic between one program that has steadily risen to power-conference status and another that is staunchly a MAC program," Dochterman wrote. "It is tied as the fourth most-played series in FBS, and other than 2020, it was played annually from 1945 to 2024. The teams, separated by less than 40 miles, will not meet this year but will in 2026."

Cincinnati owns a 61-60-7 record against Miami in a series that has a murky future past next season.

There are no other games scheduled between the two programs.
