Recruiting Roundup: UC Offers Four-Star 2024 Linebacker, Three More Notable Recruits

CINCINNATI — The football recruiting trail picked up some steam following "Nipp at Night" last Friday.
Here are the latest offers starting with three-star 2024 offensive lineman Marques Easley out of Kankakee (Illinois).
After a great conversation with @CoachM_Cummings I am blessed and grateful to announce that I have received a full ride scholarship offer from the University of Cincinnati @CoachHartKHS @Kendrick_Crite @_CoachPowell @coolc815

According to 247Sports, Easley is the site's 17th-ranked offensive tackle and eighth-best player in Illinois. He now holds seven offers from schools like Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri.
Easley is a huge sophomore, sitting at 6-foot-7, 300 pounds. He utilizes that size very well as a mauling run blocker. He's athletic and thrives in Kankakee's pin/pull run scheme. I didn't get a great feel for his pass-blocking prowess based on the available clips.
Next on the offer sheet is three-star 2023 edge rusher Taylor Wein out of Nolensville (Tennessee).

— Taylor Wein (@TaylorWein) November 14, 2022
According to 247Sports Composite, Wein is the 792nd-ranked player nationally and the 75th-ranked edge rusher. He holds 25 offers from schools like Kentucky, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
Wein looks like an undervalued gem in this class. At 6-foot-5, 220-pounds he has an advanced set of pass rush moves for a HS senior and a strong nose for the football. I saw at least three defined punch plays where he targeted the football on forced fumbles.
He is a powerful bull rusher that wins in the run game as well. Lacking strength in competition could be pumping him up, but all in all, he was dominant. He currently has a crystal ball to Oklahoma on 247Sports.
Starting the back half of this roundup, we have three-star 2024 offensive lineman Caleb Brewer out of Wyomissing (Pennsylvania).
Im excited and blessed to say I have received an offer from the University of Cincinnati!! @CoachM_Cummings @UC_Recruiting @GoBearcatsFB @GinoGuidugli @gobigrecruiting @CoachSteveONeil pic.twitter.com/KYFxkxKlCo
— Caleb Brewer (@Caleb_Brewer44) November 15, 2022
According to On3, Brewer is the 38th-ranked interior lineman nationally and the 14th-ranked player in Pennsylvania. He holds 14 offers and is projected to sign with either Maryland (38.9%) or Syracuse (34.1%).
The beefy tight end and nose tackle plays with a mean streak on every snap, and I'm sure he's a favorite of Luke Fickell's. He blocks down the line very well and has enough giddy up to make big plays happen in the high school passing game. Brewer profiles as an offensive lineman in college, given the lack of pure athleticism.
Last but certainly not least is an offer to four-star linebacker Gabriel Williams out of St. Vincent Pallotti (Maryland).
After a great conversation with @CoachMikeTress I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Cincinnati ❗️@_maximus347 @SVPHSAthletics @CoachBigTone @CoachAPallotti pic.twitter.com/RpIiAtrrO2

According to On3 Consensus, Williams is the 188th-ranked player nationally and the 18th-ranked linebacker. ESPN has him ranked 280th nationally and 23rd at his position. He holds 17 offers and is projected to land with Maryland (47.1%), Penn State (27.9%), or Notre Dame (12%).
The Swiss Army knife stands at 6-foot-4, 178 pounds, and plays all over the field. He pops up everywhere, from down defensive end to outside linebacker, free safety, and even outside corner. St. Vincent Pallotti uses their star all over the place, and he held up well in most situations.
He has a strong knack for the ball like Wein and takes nice pursuit angles. Williams has the perfect versatility to perform well in UC's 3-3-5 scheme.
