UC Interested in Transfer Guard Jaelin Llewellyn

The Princeton standout has received plenty of calls in the transfer portal.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats currently have a few players of their own in the transfer portal, and they are hard at work looking replacements as well. According to 247Sports, Wes Miller & Co. have reached out to Princeton guard Jaelin Llewellyn.

A top-100 prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, Llewellyn exploded for 15.7 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists this past season. Posting career-highs in points and rebounds. He did all of it rather efficiently too—hitting 38.6% of his 5.9 three-point attempts while boasting a respectable 54.5% true shooting percentage.

That TS mark would've been second to Viktor Lakhin's 54.9% mark last season. Although, it's much more impressive considering how much of Lakhin's shot diet came near the rim.

According to Evan Miya, Llewellyn is the fourth-best available transfer in the country and the second-best offensive player. That impressive resume has made him a hot commodity. He told 247Sports that Alabama, Vanderbilt, Stanford, Minnesota, DePaul, Northwestern, Creighton, Western Kentucky, Clemson, West Virginia, Butler, Ohio State, UNLV, George Mason, SMU, Georgetown, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Cal Berkeley, Arkansas, Seton Hall, Miami, Memphis, Ole Miss, Washington State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and more have shown interest.

Llewellyn may be tough to land in that sea of teams, but Cincinnati is clearly trying to boost its median talent level heading into the 2022-23 season.
