Notre Dame Recruiting Roundup

It was a tremendous weekend for Notre Dame football. The team dominated during their 45-24 victory over NC State on Saturday, a game that wasn’t the cleanest performance of all time. Heading into the weekend, there was plenty of news to keep you occupied.

From recruiting, to team information, NC State preparation and everything in between, it was yet another busy week of news. Here is what you may have missed.

NOTRE DAME VS NC STATE

This past week was dedicated to Notre Dame’s matchup against NC State, attempting to give the readers and listeners a deep understanding of the Wolfpack team and everything they need to know heading into the contest. From a recruiting perspective, the battle between Notre Dame and NC State was a fascinating one. I went in depth on that matchup, how both sides have recruited in general, and how it all was going to match up.

After highlighting some of the key players, the next step was to get a greater understanding for what position battles could potentially decide the football game in the end. On offense, it was about dominating up front and letting Sam Hartman work multiple levels of the field. On defense, it was about swarming Brennan Armstrong and keeping the NC State offensive line off balance.

RECENT RECRUITING NEWS

Here is the most recent recruiting news from this past week.

Although Notre Dame was away at Notre Dame, there were a couple key Irish 2025 targets who made the visit for their matchup against NC State. While they aren’t there for the Irish, it’s an extremely unique opportunity to impress the North Carolina standouts.

On Thursday night, Notre Dame 2024 cornerback commit Leonard Moore got things kicked off for the week’s action. On Friday and Saturday, the rest of the Irish commits took the field. Highlighted each of those games, and players, heading into week three.

RECRUIT INTERVIEWS

Here are the recent recruiting interviews from this past week.

Notre Dame extended an offer to 2026 Folsom quarterback Ryder Lyons, who is the younger brother of 2023 USC tight end signee Walker Lyons. He is also a former teammate of current Irish wide receiver Rico Flores. Lyons spoke about the recent Irish offer and updated his recruitment so far.

So far this season, 2024 linebacker commit Bodie Kahoun is having a tremendous start. Through three games, he has recorded 50 total tackles. Kahoun spoke about his comfort getting used to playing the linebacker position.

Notre Dame is pursuing talented 2025 Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep wide receiver Cooper Perry, who is putting together a tremendous junior season so far. Perry went in depth on his growth as a football player.
