Nation's No. 4 Cornerback, Oklahoma Sooners Target Raves About Ole Miss Rebels Visit

In this story:
Oklahoma City (Okla.) Mustang four-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne Jr. is fresh off of an unofficial visit to Oxford this week with Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels quickly impressing the coveted defender.
Osborne checks in as the No. 4 rated cornerback in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle with programs from coast-to-coast fighting for his commitment as the Ole Miss coaching staff throws a hat in the ring.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder has earned offers from the likes of the Ole Miss Rebels, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns, and Alabama Crimson Tide, among several others, across his time at the high school level.
"Gabriel Osborne is one of several corner prospects who made big moves in this rankings update. He has outstanding size, is a big-time athlete and two-way player for one of the top programs in Oklahoma. When you look at Osborne, we just love the combination of size and physicality. He’s got quality ball skills, which he shows playing receiver and defensive back," Rivals wrote.
"He’s an enforcer on defense, imposing his will on receivers. He’s a big-time striker at the point of attack. One of the more physical corners that we’ve watched to this point in the cycle. Given everything he brings to the table, a big move up the rankings felt warranted."
Now, contenders are emerging with multiple programs receiving visits this offseason - including the Ole Miss Rebels.
Osborne Jr. was in Oxford this week where he raved about his time on campus:
Great unofficial visit to @OleMissFB yesterday. Thank you @CoachGolding @wesnab4646 @CoachB_BROWN @Coach_MWoodson and staff for an unbelievable visit!!!@1BroncoFootball pic.twitter.com/Ho8R1Ic28l

Osborne is coming off of a strong junior campaign in 2025 where he rounded out the year with 233 receiving yards and three touchdowns on offense, but the majority of his production came defensively.
The talented defender rounded out his junior season with 65 tackles, 10 pass breakups, three tackles for loss and two interceptions as he emerged as one of the top prospects in America.
Now, with a visit with Golding and the Ole Miss staff now in the rearview mirror, the Rebels will look to continue making waves in Osborne's recruitment in search of an official visit.
