Tech Bit: Everysight brings cyclists Air Force-inspired smart glasses

A quick look at the design and function of Everysight's new smartglasses for cyclists.

Tech Bit takes a quick look at new technology and gear—and the stories that go with them—in the sporting world.

Product: Raptor smart glasses
Brand: Everysight

Description: Everysight leverages decades of history in developing vision systems for advanced fighter jet pilots for a planned 2016 launch of smart glasses for cyclists. Raptor by Everysight will pack display technology into what will look and feel like traditional sports eyewear, the company says, but with hidden technology geared toward cyclists. The see-through display will overlay information directly in the wearer’s line of sight, avoiding peripheral distractions and offset displays that can tire wearers. Asaf Ashkenazi, CEO of Everysight, says Raptor will serve as the first step in a plan to create a full line of smart glasses.
