The incident occurred last night in Kansas City during the bottom of the eighth, as Angels reliever Michael Kohn faced KC shortstop Alcides Escobar:

This was the Angels' feed on Fox Sports West; according to the Royals' broadcast on Fox Sports KC, which Deadspin captured, the punishment for this offense is a night in jail, a $300-500 fine, and a three-year banishment from MLB games that seems mighty difficult to enforce. All that, though, pales in comparison to the enemy he made in the man that got robbed:
