Finally, Scientific Proof: the Shake Weight Doesn't Work

Friday October 25th, 2013

One of the fundamental tenets of our capitalist society is the ingrained belief that all As-Seen-On-TV products are cheap plastic crap. Following in the esteemed tradition of the Jupiter Jack and the Shed Pal, the Shake Weight has been shown to be a cynical attempt to separate you from your money.

Researchers cited in the Journal of Sports Science & Medicine tested 25 young adults and found no discernible difference in effect between the Shake Weight and normal dumbbells, delivering yet another crushing blow to the American Dream that you can "get it right and get it tight" by spending $25 and exerting zero effort.

But hey -- you can still look ridiculous using one!
