PS4 Racing Fans See Light at the End of the Tunnel with "Driveclub" Release Rumors

An update from Sony Japan has given next-gen racer Driveclub a plausible release date of February 22.

The news comes from a new title listing on PS4 Hub that shows four games to be released on the 22nd. Interestingly, PlayStation 4 itself will also hit shelves in Japan the same day.  The rumored date coincides with the vague promise of "early 2014" offered when the game was delayed.

Driveclub's delay was confirmed  in October by Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida through the official PlayStation blog. Unsurprisingly, the reason given for the delay was quality assurance—to assure that the game is the best it can be. However, it now appears possible that the game was delayed in order to pad the PS4's Japanese release.
