As you may have heard, Roddy White made a 'bet' with a fan named Dylan Hoyt on Twitter that Duke would beat Mercer or else White would give him season tickets on the 50-yard line.

Despite the fact that this was clearly posturing, Twitter decided that White should pay up.

After trying to offer a compromise of tickets to one game, White has agreed to hand over tickets not only for the full regular season, but also for the Super Bowl, according to ESPN. White said he felt compelled to follow through on the bet because Hoyt handled the situation so well.

"We have talked about it for days while people were just speculating. And being a father, you have to be responsible for your actions. I have always been a 'say what you do and do what you say' type of guy. And I wanted to add some incentives because he was so cool."

The lesson here: Don't be a needless jerk to athletes on Twitter, both because it's obnoxious, and because you might get Super Bowl tickets otherwise.
