Softball State Title Decided by Walk-Off Inside the Park... Strike Out?

Someday Montana high school student Kendyl Boltz will be able to regale her grandchildren with the story of when she won a state softball title with a clutch, walk-off strike out.

During game 2 of the Montana AA state softball title series between Missoula Big Sky and Billings West (side note: these are both incredible names for high schools), Boltz would strike out with two outs in the bottom of the 7th. But to her credit, she was paying attention to the catcher's bobbling of the pitch and started making her way to first.

And then human error took over.
