Suffice to say, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is not generally known for outward displays of emotion. This is what makes the GIF above kind of special.
While his team celebrated the franchise's fifth championship, Pop sat alone on the bench, surrounded by confetti, soaking in what is (perhaps) a poetic conclusion to one of the finest dynasties in NBA history. Who's to say that the Spurs won't repeat next year -- it seems that analysts and the public alike have figured this team was past its expiration date for some time -- but if this is the final championship that this group wins together, it was certainly a memorable one.
