MMA fighter/gas station clerk stops robbery in progress

Saturday July 26th, 2014

If you're going to rob someone who works at a gas station, make sure the guy's co-worker isn't a part-time mixed martial arts fighter

While manning the counter at a Houston gas station, semi-pro MMA fighter Mayura Dissanayake saw his colleague getting jumped by a couple of goons in the parking lot. That's when Dissanayake sprang into action, running outside and throwing a ton of haymakers the robbers' way before they finally relented.

“The first guy I saw, I just kicked him in the face. Then I punched the other guy,” Dissanayake said.

You sir, are a national hero.
