World Cup winner Mesut Özil stopped by the Team USA training camp for the FIBA World Cup

World Cup winning German midfielder Mesut Özil stopped by Team USA's Las Vegas training camp for the upcoming FIBA World Cup and met with NBA stars Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose and Damian Lillard.

In a display of World Cup on World Cup love, German midfielder Mesut Özil stopped by the Team USA basketball training camp in Las Vegas on Thursday to chat with the team before they head off to compete in this summer's FIBA World Cup.

The Arsenal player even got a few shots up.

Özil hopefully passed on the secret formula to winning World Cup's to the US, seeing as Germany's national team did not qualify for this year's tournament. If not that, then hopefully he at least passed on the secret to winning Rihanna's adoration, which is equally valuable.

FIBA World Cup play begins in Spain on August 30, when the USA takes on Finland in the preliminary round.
