Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons posted this photo on Instagram Wednesday, claiming he was confused for Dirk Nowitzki at a Starbucks, but something doesn't add up.

First of all, Starbucks employees ask for your name when they take your order, not try to guess who you are.

Who is a Dallas barista more likely to recognize: Dirk, who has been there since 1998, or Parsons, who signed in July?

Maybe Dirk was there and handed his cup to Parsons, thinking it would make a funny Instagram post.

Or is this just a big viral marketing campaign to get us to buy delicious Starbucks™ holiday beverages?
