The Florida Gators have a new head coach in Jim McElwain, who is headed to Gainesville from Colorado State, but a lot of people seemed to have learned of the news from a fake Twitter account posing as Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley.

The fake account's "official announcement" has been retweeted almost 250 times, including by some leading college football reporters.

While the account is fake, the news is true, as confirmed by Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans.
