Serena Williams orders an espresso in middle of Hopman Cup match

When you're considered one of the greatest tennis players to ever walk the earth, you get certain perks. Serena Williams is considered one of the greatest of all-time, therefore she gets said perks... even if she wants to cash in right in the middle of a match.

Williams exercised this right during her opening match at the 2015 Hopman Cup on Monday.

After dropping the first set 6-0 to Italian Flavia Pennetta, Williams politely asked the judge if it was OK for her to order an espresso in the middle of the match. At first, it appeared that the judge couldn't tell if she was serious or not. However, Serena made it pretty clear that she wanted one.

The best part is that she eventually got it.

When the world's No. 1 women's tennis player wants her espresso, you have to oblige.

It’s miracle coffee,” Williams joked after the match, according to HopmanCup.com.

“I am a coffee drinker. I didn’t have mine this morning and I was just feeling it, so I just had to get some coffee into me.

“I just asked them to get me a shot of espresso. I asked them if it was legal, because I’ve never done it before.

“I needed to wake up – it’s just the jetlag. It gets you all the time.”
