Boston Police Department interrupts blizzard prep for Deflategate joke

Boston is getting hit with a lot of snow just a week after a monster blizzard hit the East Coast. Conditions are bad enough that the Patriots' Super Bowl victory parade was pushed back from Tuesday to Wednesday.
While the winter storm was doubtlessly a source of frustration for Bostonians, the Boston Police Department was there to add a bit of levity to the situation.
#BPDSafetyTip: Tire pressure should be checked in cold weather. Low temps lead to deflation & an unfair competitive advantage for drivers.

It doesn't really make sense that reducing tire air pressure would give any kind of advantage to a driver fighting snowy conditions. And sure, this could be interpreted as trolling the hometown Patriots.

And yeah, a lot of people might not like the idea of the city's police making light of a potentially exasperating, stressful snowstorm. But this was sort of, kind of funny (maybe), so all is forgiven, Boston's finest. Take comfort in the fact that Tom Brady's dad probably won't call you conniving.
The Boston PD's tweet followed in the footsteps of Portland's police, who called out the NBA for Damian Lillard not making the All-Star team. Who knew cops were so into sports?
