Mark Cuban to play President of the United States in Sharknado 3

Business magnate and prominent sports owner Mark Cuban will appear on as U.S. president in the latest installment of the acclaimed Sharknado series.

There's a third installment in the infamous Sharknado movies series slated to premier this summer, and there is someone rather noteworthy from the sports world set to play the role of the President of the United States of America.

When Sharknado 3 whirls into living rooms this July, none other than Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be playing the role of the most powerful man in the free world, the SyFy network announced Monday.

Cuban's ascent through the business world gave him the means to purchase the Mavericks in 2000, and his appearances on the hit ABC series "Shark Tank" have likely prepared him to face one of the sea's most fearsome predators. Combined, Cuban's experience makes him a fearsome opponent – for man or beast.

Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter will serve as Cuban's vice president. Bo Derek will appear as the mother of Tara Reid, Jerry Springer will play a tourist, and 'N Sync member Chris Kirkpatrick will will portray a pool lifeguard. The third iteration of the series will take place in Washington, D.C., before shifting to Florida.

Sports cameos have been prominent in the Sharknado movies, particularly in the most recent installment of the series, in which the New York Mets and Citi Field were featured in the beginning of the movie.
