Washington, D.C., had what may have been the capital city's finest sports night on record Tuesday, as the Wizards and Capitals grabbed playoff wins, while the Nationals had a walk-off-home-run victory.

The Washington Post celebrated this momentous night by giving all three teams equal time on the front of the sports section with the headlines "A blowout", "A boost", "... and a blast."

The Wizards took a 2–0 lead over the Raptors with their victory, while the Capitals evened up their series with the Islanders at 2–2, and the Nationals pulled to .500 on the year with an extra innings home run from Yunel Escobar.

One sports radio producer even made some big money off of D.C.'s big night, placing a $100 parlay on the three teams that paid out over $1,000.
