A Whole New Approach: NBA Finals showcases salt art
Sunday June 14th, 2015

Apparently no one ever told Rob Ferrel not play with his food.

Ferrel, an artist known as Rob The Original, has spent the NBA Finals making portraits of basketball stars out of grains of salt. He's made salt versions of Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Matthew Dellavedova.

He spreads the salt on a table and uses a paint brush to carve the designs.

On Sunday, before Game 5 of the series between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN invited Ferrel to appear on SportsCenter and show off his skills live in the studio.

You can see all his work on Instagram and on his website
