A Marlins superfan named Andres Salgado was so distraught when the team's ace Jose Fernandez underwent Tommy John surgery last season that he swore to stop cutting his hair and beard until the pitcher was back on the mound.

Fernandez returns to the majors on Thursday, and to celebrate the team arranged for the fan, who is known to many as "The José Guy," to get his hair cut by none other than Fernandez himself.

In case you were wondering how Salgado has handled the other big Marlins injury, Giancarlo Stanton's broken hand, he is wearing a Marlins arm sleeve everyday until the slugger is back in the lineup, which is projected to take four to six weeks, a walk in the park compared to his epic hair growing stunt.
