On Thursday night the Warriors joined the 1995-96 Bulls as the only two teams to record 70-plus wins in a season. Golden State could eclipse the Chicago record of 72 wins if they win their remaining three games, leading to a lot of comparisons betweent he two squads.

Adding fuel to those comparisons is the fact that Warriors coach Steve Kerr was a member of that Bulls team, which is also what discourages him from comparing the two squads, although not for the reasons you might think.

The reigning NBA champions will have a tough road to besting the record, as they must face the Grizzlies twice and the Spurs one more time in the season’s final week.
