Iowa State’s Georges Niang wants to be the new ‘Mayor of Ames’

Wednesday April 20th, 2016

Fred Hoiberg has left Ames, Iowa, for Chicago and Georges Niang thinks that means there is an opening for the Bulls coach’s longtime title as “Mayor” of Iowa State’s hometown.

The Cyclones senior wants you to help get out the vote so he can take on his former coach’s title.

• Derrick Rose loves drones and astrology

Niang is reticent at first, but a private bathroom and a free T-shirt are enough to convince him to hit the campaign trail as he embarks on his new post-collegiate career.
