The Salem Red Sox have announced they will honor television journalists Adam Ward and Allison Parker, who were tragically killed last year while conducting a live interview.

Last August, Ward and Parker were killed by a former co-worker while working on television for WDBJ in Virginia.

On July 30, the Salem Red Sox will host a Tribute to Adam and Allison night, wearing special WDBJ jerseys with Adam's and Allison's names on the back. The jerseys will also have a new color scheme featuring the colors of Adam’s and Allison’s favorite teams, and will be sold after the game in a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Adam Ward Memorial Scholarship at Salem High School and the "For Alison" Foundation.

Fans can also purchase a replica jersey to make a donation to one of the two causes. WDBJ employees will be on hand for a picnic before the game and to throw out the first pitch.
