Alonzo Mourning had to teach a little kid some history.

Kids these days have no respect.

That’s the only explanation for this South Florida youngster, who was playing Connect Four with Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning on Wednesday, even though he had no idea who Alonzo Mourning is.

Mourning, not ready to let this little kid get through the day without learning a thing or two, told the young fan he played for the Miami Heat, then flashed him his 2006 championship ring. When the kid informed Mourning he was only two when the Heat won it all in 2006, the former defensive player of the year replied: “My name is Alonzo Mourning. Ask your mom and dad about me.”

C’mon kid, don’t you have access to YouTube?

Mourning should really consider flexing in this kid’s face next time.
