Daniel Sturridge joined England for their short Euro 2016 run this summer, and while fans of the Three Lions may have a bad taste in their mouths after England lost 2–1 to Iceland in the first game of the knockout rounds, the star striker left a pleasant aroma in his wake.

In a recent interview with GQ UK, Sturridge said he likes to stay fresh smelling on the pitch by spraying some cologne on his uniform, according to Sky Sports.

“People might think it's strange, but I like smelling it, so it's not about what anyone else thinks,” he told GQ magazine. “Fragrance probably shows people who you are as much as your clothes do.”

Sturridge also likes to make sure his skin is properly tended to as well, throwing on a strawberry-scented lotion each day.
