Xander takes gold but C.T. Pan takes the money in the men's Olympic golf competition

C.T. Pan's bronze medal payout was far more lucrative than Xander Schauffele's gold, meanwhile weather is playing a major factor in the women's competition

The battle for bronze stole the show during the men's Olympic golf competition and for C.T. Pan it came with a paycheck more than three times the size of Xander Schauffele's cut for gold. This week the women are not only competing against the field but the conditions as well with the heat index touching triple digits and a pending tropical storm that may cut the event short altogether.

One player who was not in Tokyo, Bryson DeChambeau is back in action and lacking some clubhead speed in the wake of his positive COVID-19 test. With just one top-10 finish since March he'll look to get things back on track in Mempis.

Players are getting introduced to the game younger and younger but Wake Forest Junior, Rachel Kuehn truly has golf in her DNA. The medalist at this week's U.S. Women's Amateur has been around major golf championships since before she was even born.
