Missing Reporter Courtney Roland Found Alive

Courtney Roland is a sports reporter in Houston has been found alive after being reported missing. 
Publish date: Texas A&M reporter Courtney Roland has been found alive after being missing for two days in the Houston area, the Houston Police Department said Monday.

Police said that Roland was found in the Galleria area of the city, appeared to be unharmed and was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation.

Houston Police Capt. Mark Lentini held a news conference on Monday afternoon and said that Roland was found at about 8:15 a.m. CT. A citizen said that Roland was passing underneath an overpass walking toward a Chick-fil-A. Police found her in the Chick-fil-A parking lot. 

Officer Manny Cruz reported that Roland was having trouble remembering things, according to NBC.

"She doesn't remember everything," he said. "I think in her state of confusion she kind of lost track of time," he said, adding, "I don’t think she was aware that she was being looked at as a missing person."

According to multiple reports, Roland was reported missing and last seen leaving a football camp in an Uber at around 4 p.m. on Saturday,

The family had filed a missing persons report with the Houston police department. Authorities had said that Roland was last seen about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday walking alone in a store in the mall.

According to a Facebook post, She communicated with a friend through text at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday and was worried "that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens" but the location is unknown. Roland drives a 2015 white Jeep Cherokee.

Roland's roommate told KPRC (Houston's NBC affiliate) that Roland texted her and said a suspicious man in Walgreens was in the blue truck that "looped back around and parked behind her and Roland got out of her car and the truck sped off."

KPRC also added that Roland’s mother received a text saying, “hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad.”

Several athletes and reporters tweeted about Roland in hopes of getting any information that may help find her.
