Ricketts family backs Donald Trump despite initial opposition

Joe and Marlene Ricketts, the family that owns the Chicago Cubs, has donated $1 million to a pro-Donald Trump Super PAC, according to the Wall Street Journal.
During the primaries, the family was initially against Trump and donated to an anti-Trump PAC that was headed by Wisconsin governor Scott Walker.
“Even though the Ricketts supported other candidates during the primary, they believe it is time to unite behind the nominees,” a political strategist for the Ricketts told the WSJ. “This is all about helping Republicans win in the fall.”
